I’m a mom, excuse me, let me capital M that, lol! I’m a Mom, and I know that sometimes we forget certain tricks and tips when it comes to tidying up our homes. But that’s why peppermint essential oil plays an important role. It can help us keep our households organized, clean, and smelling great. Not to mention all the other amazing things this magical oil can do! Here are just a few:
👉 Get those dusty corners looking shiny again: Just put a few drops of peppermint essential oil in a glass spray bottle filled with distilled water and get to work on those dusty corners! The scent will also leave your home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
👉 Make your own DIY ant deterrent: Peppermint essential oil is one of the best natural ways to repel ants from invading your home. Pour 10-15 drops into a glass spray bottle filled with distilled water and spray around cracks, gaps, or entrances to block them from entering your home. (this is a hot tip, by the way)
👉 Get rid of kitchen odors: If your kitchen is feeling a bit smelly or musty (isn’t that the grossest word? lol!), sprinkle a few drops of peppermint essential oil in some boiling water then let it sit for 20-30 minutes (keep an eye on it). This will give off an invigorating aroma that’ll make your entire house smell wonderful! (seriously soooo good!)
👉 Get rid of pet odors: Diffusing some peppermint essential oil around your house will help eliminate any pet odors that may be lingering around. Plus it’ll also keep cats away from furniture they’re not allowed to jump on! So there’s that 🙂
👉 Create homemade air fresheners: Mix 25 drops of peppermint with 4 ounces of distilled water in a glass bottle with an atomizer top then simply spritz the mixture throughout your living space whenever necessary — quite possibly my favorite use for this powerful oil!
